The incident took place in Bhogadi village located on Sirsia Piprapati main road of Harpur Garhwa Panchayat of Majholia police station area of the district. The deceased has been identified as homeowner America Ram (60), resident of Bhogadi village. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot, took possession of the body and started taking action to send it to GMCH Bettiah on Wednesday.
Here, the deceased’s son Nagendra Ram told that on Tuesday night everyone had dinner and went to sleep in the house. At 2:00 in the night, suddenly a cement laden truck went out of control and entered the house and overturned. Due to which his father died on the spot. Haiwa’s number is BR06G 8852. It is said that the tire of the Haiwa had burst, due to which it went out of control and entered the house. Seeing the incident, the driver and the assistant driver fled from the spot.
Police engaged in investigation
Nagendra Ram, son of the deceased, told that his daughter’s marriage was to take place on March 15. Complete preparations for the wedding had been made. There was mourning in his house after the accident. Meanwhile, police station incharge Akhilesh Kumar Mishra said that one person has died due to uncontrolled hyva entering the house. The body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. The truck driver took advantage of the opportunity and absconded. The matter is being investigated.
